A vacancy has arisen for a Contractor Sales Manager covering the South East. (Postcode areas: BN/BR/CR/CT/DA/GU/GY/JE/ME/PO/RH/SE/SO/TN)

The Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Contractor Sales Manager (CSM) is responsible for the sales growth and profitable securing of orders for Domus product ranges within a specified geographical territory.

Responsibilities
• Develop a strategic network of contacts and build strong business relationships by regularly visiting, calling, and holding professional meetings, seminars and events; some of which may be outside of normal working hours.
• Promote the Domus Ventilation product range via HVAC main and installing subcontractor networks, focusing on increasing the sales of our Domus ducting and mechanical solutions products.
• Develop the relevant relationships required at main and subcontractor level, to create demand and grow market share by back selling through our distribution base.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regional and local developers and key merchant accounts to enable identification of new business opportunities.
• Work closely with the specification sales team to ensure specifications are held and profitably negotiated at order stage.
• Maximise opportunities for customer training initiatives including training presentations and BPEC / NIC with target contractors.
• Develop strong links with sales teams throughout the Genuit Group, in order to gain leverage and take advantage of any group initiatives / agreements in place through our channel accounts, developers and contractors.
• To utilise lead generation software (Glenigans) and work with internal project tracking team to maximise opportunities
• Make sure that all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner and be accessible for customers and colleagues alike.
• Report market conditions and competitor activity into the business.
• Support marketing initiatives to actively promote Domus product ranges internally and externally in order to maintain high levels of brand and product awareness.

Person Specification

Key Behaviours
Self-motivated, highly organised and understanding of the sales process. Enthusiastic about the product, team and able to respond positively in the face of setbacks in a fast-paced changing environment. The post holder must be willing and able to cover the geographic region from their location base.
Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

Essential:
• Knowledge of the construction, mechanical specification and contracting industry.
• Demonstrated experience of managing customer relationships in a sales environment.
• Excellent negotiation & influencing skills.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Is self-aware with good people skills – has an available and approachable style, able to gain the respect and trust of customers and colleagues.
• Good IT skills for administration (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
• A current, clean driving licence

Desirable:
• Experience of delivering product presentations and hosting seminars.
• Conversant with project and lead generation software, although training will be provided.
• Experience of the ventilation/ HVAC industry would be advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of M&E contractor base in the geographical area.
